The Bomb, Blend, Napa CA
Juicy aromas of strawberry jam, raspberry, and red plum jump out of the glass, with a light framing of toasty vanilla oak. The lush mouth is soft and inviting, with layers of ripe berries and red cherry, with the spiciness of a drippingly sweet black mission fig and just the right amount of oak for framing.

Domitia, Picpoul, France
The wine is somewhat of an anomaly -estate Picpoul – as the lion’s share of the wines from this AOC are produced in the cooperatives. The wine shows surprising complexity with notes of spring flowers and a streak of minerality that provide a beautiful framework. Because the wine finishes with such clean and bracing acidity, the rich mid-palate of melon and stone fruit is a delightful surprise. This charming wine begs for warm & sunny days, shellfish & seafood.

Benito Santos, Albarino, Spain

Gruner, Germany
A liter of the raciest, most energetic and appealingly mineral-driven Riesling imaginable. That unique Pfalzer character—a fat, sunny, mouthfilling style—shines through in a completely dry yet ultra-ripe-fruited wine. Seashells blasts out of the nose along with high toned citrus and orange oil. This vineyard site in our experience makes terrific dry wines with crazy high acids and tensile strength. This interpretation from Kimich, a small, traditional, 8th generation estate, is an absurd value in the liter bottle (33% more wine)!

Rose
Bargemone, Aix en Provence, France
Pale and tender pink in the glass, the 2023 Rosé rushes the mouth with lively, almost spritzy acidity. Generous and tropical in its aromatics and flavors, the mix of tart pineapple, chamomile, white cherry, mint and salty sea spray is particularly enticing. What strikes me most about the 2023 is its balance. The finish is quite long - this is everything I want from Provençal Rosé
